Getting an Error Page when Trying to Purchase & download Super Meat Boy from both Xbox One or Xbox.com

Unable to download Super Meat Boy free through Xbox Live Gold on Xbox One

I have Xbox Live Gold on Xbox One and am not able to download Super Meat Boy (an Xbox 360 game) for free. We spent about an hour on the phone speaking to an Xbox Support employee, but he was unable to fix the problem and suggested I post it here. On my Xbox
One, I chose Super Meat Boy in the Gold Members Area. After selecting Show Price, an Xbox One Compatibility Page explains that I can play this Xbox 360 game on my Xbox One. After I selected Continue, the following error message appears: "Sorry. Your account
is unable to make this type of purchase on Xbox.com. Please complete this transaction from your Xbox." I am trying to complete this transaction on my Xbox One.

Thank you for your help in resolving this issue. I am looking forward to playing Super Meat Boy.

I am getting the same error, trying to purchase any (seemingly) xbox 360 game. Assassins Creed, Skyrim, Fallout 3. I've tried from an Xbox One, and from a browser. My account info looks fine, and I have two valid payment methods on file.

Same error two night ago when trying to download Wolfenstien 3d and Lego Indiana Jones - Today on Super Meatboy on gold.

Having the exact same error trying to buy/download Super Meat Boy with Games with Gold.

 

why is microsoft making it so hard to give them money, im getting the same error message with any 360 back compatability purchase.

 

Just tried again and now it's working. Whatever was broken on the back end seems to be resolved, for me at least.

 

Can't download it because it says that I can't make purchases from Xbox.com. then it tells me to use my Xbox to make the purchase. I was using my Xbox to try and make the purchase.

 

I'm also getting the same error and nothing is working for me to fix this

 

If@lord if you are using the xbox one that's why

You need to use your xbox 360 to make purchases on child accounts

Also for everyone else please make your own thread so we can tailor the troubleshooting without mixing up things

Everyone's settings are different so different troubleshooting per person

@op those games are region locked does your account region reflect your actual region if not that would be why
