unable to purchase 1 month of XBL gold

Hello

I just put money into my microsoft account and now have £6.02 on the account but it not letting me use this for the purchasing of 1 month XBL on the account management options which the 1 month is priced at
£5.99

is this not a valid method of payment as if it is not it should mention it

money missing from credit card

this morning i checked my card balence it said 0.99 is left... recently i made a purchase using the card on my xbl account the purchase was 4.99 in microsoft points. now there was 10.00$ dollars to start with and i made the 4.99$ purchase so were is my other
5.00$ dollars? no one has access to my accounts and i didn't make any other purchases but i go looking on my other account and notice i purchased a 1 month gold ok but its only 1 month gold but it says expires on the 4/1/2013 but the 1 month gold i purchased
was on 2/1/2013 it added another month of gold when i have auto renewal off or disabled?

How Long until the gold get's "accepted"

I Just bought a 1 month sub for 1 €because my old on expired. After several reboots and restarts of a Game it still says i need xbl gold. How Long does it Take xbl to really recognize my Gold membership?

Gold can only be purchased via credit card/Paypal or by purchasing a prepaid subscription card. It's not possible to use your Microsoft account to purchase gold.

bump found the answer elsewhere as apparently money for the MS account cannot be used for XBL only card payment when paying from the console

theres £5 down the drain as I don't like using cards on XBL

glad im going PS4 soon enough not amused by that

Here is how that works. Each BRAND NEW console, not refurbished or anything, gets the first three gamertags made through the console a free trial. If it does not offer it then the console has used all three.

You can create another account, just make sure to do as I advised above in order to get the free trial.
