Unable to play Xbox Store purchase on separate account but SAME CONSOLE

Since the new Xbox OS update I am unable to play Xbox Games purchased under a different account on the same console. My friend and I share an Xbox. We frequently play together but also occasionally separately. We could purchase titles from the Xbox store
and each play them from our respective accounts. It appears that functionality has now been removed. This effectively means that if my friend and I wish to play a game on both accounts we have to purchase them on disc and not from the store as usual. As such,
I am extremely disappointed by this new update.

Single Console, Family Gold account and shared games?

QUESTION:

My brother and I currently have separate Xbox Live accounts connected to a local Xbox 360 console. If we decide to transition our Xbox Live accounts to the Xbox One, will only one of our accounts be allowed to play games that we purchase or will we both
be able to play games as long as they are on the same console? I cannot afford to buy two copies of the same game just to play on our unique accounts on the same console.

If I have 3 xbox ones in my home, can each of us play through the same xbox live subscription family account? or do we each need a separate subscription to play on separate consoles?

 

Have you set the console to your "home" console? I have online games which I have purchased and my son can play them on his gamertag. He's playing BlackOpps 3 which I purchased right now.

 

yes, try and set it as home Console and retry playing the game, it suppose to work that way because i also encounter the error but now finally working fine for me after setting it as home console.
