Unable to play Sea of Thieves on my Xbox One and my PC

I own an Xbox One, an Xbox One X and a PC. I purchased a physical copy of Sea of Thieves and just recently grabbed a digital copy. I have an Xbox Live Gold membership. I tried playing with my daughter today. She was logged in to my Xbox One under her
gamertag using the physical copy of Sea of Thieves and I was logged into my PC (Windows 10) with the digital copy. As soon as she got to the title screen, the Xbox One said that she required a Gold membership. She is listed under my account ()
as a family member and should have access to Gold. I play Fallout 76 with my wife and do not have this issue. She plays Fallout 76 on her Xbox One X and I play on my Xbox One. Why is my daughter receiving a message saying that she needs an Xbox Live Gold
membership? If this issue is not resolved, I want a refund for my Sea of Thieves digital copy and I will be selling my physical copy. This should not be so difficult. Please help me address this issue so that I can enjoy Sea of Thieves with my family members.
That is the only reason why I purchased TWO copies of the same game.

Unfortunately due to the copy being physical, your copy of sea of thieves can only be played on the Xbox one. If the game was purchased digitally then i believe that you would be able to play sea of thieves on both xbox and pc. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Family does not mean they share gold.

This just sounds like you need to set your Daughters Xbox as your home so you can share gold.

This will allow any account on that xbox to play online.

May I ask how many Systems you have? You can only Gold share on one system and that gold will not extend to systems that are not set as HOME for that Gold gamertag.

Example.

YOUR account has hold.

You set your daughters Xbox as home. ANY accounts on your daughters system will have gold.

However your gold will not share on YOUR xbox that is not set as Home. So if say your wife does not have gold she will not have it unless she uses your daughters system.
