Unable to play Overwatch

I have recently bought Overwatch (on disk) but I have been unable to play it. When I launch the game, it loads for a few seconds, gives a black screen then crashes and sends me back to the home screen.

I have contacted Xbox support and after troubleshooting with no avail they told me to contact the developers Blizzard as it probably was there problem. So I contacted them but they said they couldn't do anything since it was on Xbox's side.

The trouble shooting I did was:

• Hard reset the console
• Reinstall the game
• Try offline
• Use a different profile
• Remove my profile and redownload it to my console
• Clear Alternate MAC address
• Clear persistent storage

The same crash also happened on the Overwatch beta and a similar problem happened to Battleborn. Xbox support also told me that my console and profile was fine so it wasn't on my end. Blizzard support said since Microsoft support couldn;t resolve the issue
then I should post on their forums to check if any other users are having the sane issue

What should I do?

I'm sorry to see any issues launching Overwatch. We has a
Service Alert up yesterday during this time that affected launching some games. Everything should be all set now. However, if you are still having issues, please post back so that we can dig into what might be going on.

Unable to play Overwatch

Hi,

I can't connect to Overwatch anymore. When I try to launch the game, a pop-up ask me if I have the physical disk or to buy it at the store. I have played this game for a solid 8 month and I never had this problem before. I bought it on an other account and
now I can't connect to this other one.

Please help me.

That sounds frustrating. It sounds like you've tried a lot of the standard troubleshooting options thus far. Have you tried to

Factory Reset Your Xbox One Console yet? As you can see, there are two methods for this option. Please start with the option that allows you to keep your games and apps and if that does not work, please proceed to attempt a full factor reset.
