Unable to play Original Fable and Morrowind

I am having a big issue with the Marketplace version of Fable. I purchased it for like $10.00 and it will not play. the original message was for me to download it again and that would solve the problem. after 4 tries downloading the game it still will not
work. Now I have contacted XBOX support over the phone they were very friendly and shared a few other options. Option 1 : delete system cache 3 times and restart, download again/ this option was intriguing but it failed. Option 2: Delete System cache then
delete all system Updates, unplug internet and router for 15 seconds, turn back on. wow a bit extreme but that failed as well. Option 3: Create another Profile do a license transfer for the game over to the other profile and now it should work. that failed
as well. I hope someone can help me out with this.

Also on a side note that Elder Scrolls 3 Morrowind will not play either although I don't know if they are related in anyway... No disc Error. console telling me to download the game again... ?

Fable Legends is no longer being developed...

I still have all the fables back to the original. Infact, I think fable and Morrowind are the only two original Xbox games I still have.

It is annoying, if they had focused on fable 4 instead of legends, maybe things would be different right now.

I never played Morrowind, simply because I dislike PC gaming and I'd never even seen a copy of it on Xbox, but I agree. I'd rather play Morrowind than Fable, though it must be mentioned that Fable 1 was actually a solid game, unlike all the rest.

 

Sounds like you don't have a official hard drive which is needed in order to play backwards compatible games.

Knock offs can look very official, but it doesn't mean they are. What console are you using (the older models or a Slim)? What size hard drive? Did you purchase the hard drive separately and if so, was it purchased brand new or from a third party/used?

 

it was brand new 120GB HDD (attachable) and i am using the older white xbox 360 (512MB)

 

I hope you aren't going to tel me i need to buy a xbox 360 slim to play original fable game i purchased on the marketplace for $10?

 

No. Any 360 console can play original Xbox games as long as it's an official hard drive. So yours should be fine, I'm just not sure why you're getting that error.

you see the fact that it wasn't an original xbox game it was the Original Fable that is available on the XBOX live marketplace that won't play. explain that one, lol.

 

You still need a official hard drive to play backwards compatible games,even if they are downloaded.

Not sure who you sent a photo to but you can't tell if it's an official hard drive just by a photo.

 

you cannot tell a bootleg from a real one by a picture. they sell casings that are 100% identical to the MS ones that a person would put a drive inside it and try to pass it off as legit. it is real simple if the game does not play on your 360 with a hard
drive on it, then guess what you do not have a real MS brand hard drive. Once you get a MS brand hardrive THEN that game will play. To avoid getting a bootleg drive try buying from MS's Amazon store:
