Unable to Play Online Since 9/13 in Minecraft - Chat with Support Couldn't Resolve

I have been unable to play Minecraft online with a friend since last Saturday, Sep. 13th. The error I get is: "Connection to server was lost. Exiting to the main menu." I was on with tech chat tonight, and the agent had me delete and clear the cache 3 times
and check my network settings, etc. Everything checked out OK. I have an Xbox Live gold account. I was able to play online with the same friend prior to last Saturday, but now we have been trying to play every day since the 13th and get the same error every
time. The agent I spoke to said that the problem was with the Minecraft Server and if I posted online here, the engineers and other support folks could see this and perhaps help.

If anyone can help, please do. I bought the XBox just to play this game, and actually, it is the only Xbox game that I play.

Hello, I had recently received a suspension on my account that spanned from 9/13-9/27, but as I go to join party chats upon being unbanned I am still unable to chat. Please help!

I am having this same issue and have done all of the things you suggested. Nothing works! It is SUPER frustrating. I keep getting kicked off the chat with the support people too. My kids want to play minecraft online with friends and we've been trying to
resolve this for 3 days now.

Today, for the first time since I could not connect, I see a yellow exclamation point next to Matchmaking and the words "Service Alert", but when I go to the www.xbox.com/servicealerts site, I only see an alert concerning posting to leader boards for Halo.

I really hope that you can help. I've gone through the system checking routine with Support and no problems were found. There doesn't seem to be an answer to this problem.

 

Hello! Considering my router, and also the fact (that I didn't mention) that I am using Skype on a laptop at the same time when I am trying to play online with another player to communicate, is it possible that I don't have enough bandwidth for everything
that I'm running? There could also be a cell phone and one or two 3Ds' using the internet at the same time. My router is 8 years old and has served me well, but when I installed it, I wasn't running what I am now.

 

Not necessarily. How many distance is between the Xbox and the router? Can you try wired just to see if that's stable enough?
