Unable to play on Realms Minecraft

When I attempt to create or join a realm on Minecraft Bedrock edition on Windows 10, I get the pop-up:

"You Need Permission

You cannot play on Realms because of how your Xbox Live account is set up. This can be changed in your privacy & online safety settings on Xbox.com"

On Xbox.com, under my privacy & online safety settings, all of the settings for Xbox One/Windows 10 Online Safety have been allowed:

My account's birthday is set so that I am 18 this year as of February.

I have tried signing out and back into Xbox, uninstalling and reinstalling Minecraft. I tried to access Realms on the mobile version of Minecraft, on two different android phones. I have also tried joining an Xbox family as a child and adult and having another
user in the family change my privacy and online safety settings and I have created a whole new adult Microsoft account which was able to connect to Realms. The only thing I can think to do that I have not tried yet is to connect on a different network, however,
two other users on the same network do not have this issue and can connect to Realms.

Cross plat options

hey guys i want to cross play with a friend who has Minecraft on Xbox one and I have Minecraft on the ipad and windows 10. Do I need realms in order to play with him or can I play without it? Also I am considering to buy the switch version if I don't need
realms.

Cant get acces to my realm

Thanks for answering. I use minecraft windows 10 edition. When i click play to my own realm it says : Connection to the realm. This operation can takes few minutes. After a few it says: Cant acces to your Realm. please try later. (since 2 days we cant acces
to the realm)

I have 26 days left to my realm subsription.

I also tried to dowload my realm to normal mode and i can play with it.

Only on Realm mode we cant play

Hi,

You have to setup correctly your privacy settings on Xbox AND/OR windows 10.

Sorry for not responding sooner, but I have tried these suggestions and have still had no success. I mentioned that I had checked my privacy settings at Xbox.com but I have tried again multiple times, and tried changing other privacy settings. I was unaware
of the privacy settings on Windows 10 however I could not find anything relating to Online games.

Since it has been a few weeks now and I have been unable to find a solution, I have decided to switch to a new account that can play Realms for this purpose.

The privacy settings are as they were yesterday when minecraft realms was working fine. There has been no change to my settings.

I checked the settings anyway and they allow the correct permissions.

We have just logged in and now it works. I’ve done nothing so I assume Microsoft must have a glitch.

I'm getting this as well, it's telling me;

"You cannot play on Realms because of how your Microsoft Account is set up. Please ensure that your online safety settings allow Multiplayer and Clubs and you have an active Xbox Live Gold subscription. See instructions for changing these settings at aka.ms/MCMultiplayerHelp."

My settings are fine, AND I have a Gold subscription, but I can't get into my own Realm, that I host.

Edit: .. And now it's working.. What the heck..?
