Unable to play Oblivion

On my Xbox One S, I used to be able to play The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. I played it pretty regularly without issues, even purchasing some of the DLC packages for it. Currently I have the Game of the Year edition and the original edition yet both of them
no longer work. When I insert the disks, I get the error message telling me they are not on the backwards compatibility list.

I checked and sure enough, it IS on the compatibility list.

I have tried several things:

logging out and back in

shutting down the xbox and turning it back on

shutting down, unplugging, and turning it back on

inserting the dlc disk on the GotY edition

Nothing changes the result.

I have bought this game 4 different times now and really dont want to do it again for the digital xbox 360 version...

Is there anything i can do to get this to work?

Okay, now ALL my DLC is missing, and other games are starting to mess up. Went to play Mass Effect the other day and it says it's unable to find the last save and the DLC for it wont show up. Went to play Oblivion and none of the DLC's work for that and
it wont save at all. (for Oblivion) I save my game, go to the load screen, and it's not there. Hearthfire is still messed up. I wasn't having any of these problems until I downloaded the newest System Update.... Please anybody help.

I haven't played yet. Just got it and still in plastic until I have time. But bugs are natural in games this large. There are a few in Oblivion still after all these years that can cause quests to be unable to be finished. Also Fallout 3 an annoying
one where people can get stuck permanently in the republic of dave making it unable to finish that voting quest (let one vote then wait, is the solution).

Just have to deal with it if you want to play an open world game.

Oblivion is a 100 hour game minimum.....Skyrim can stand alone but has many references and jokes form Oblivion. I would play Oblivion first.
