Unable to play multiplayer

Is this happening on a specific game or is it on all games?

Check and see if your profile is corruptted. If it is, you'll have to delete the profile (Profile only! Not game saves and things associated with it) then download your profile from xbox live.

Yes I've tried this. I've even moved my xbox to a different house and had the same problem.

You've had this same issue before, though?

Do you know if your granddaughter has an Xbox Live Gold or Ultimate Game Pass? One would be needed for her to play some multiplayer games. Her membership status can be checked at https://account.microsoft.com/services

If she does not one could either be purchased for her or, if you have a Gold or Ultimate pass you could share it with her by setting your gamertag as Home on her console.

I actually just got off the phone with EA and what happened was that my gamertag was linked in EA's system to an old email address that I used. They changed it to my current email address and it fixed everything!
