Unable to play LiS: Before The Storm

Hi guys! I played through the first Life is Strange game and loved it, so I was happy to see Before The Storm complete season is available through my Ultimate Game Pass. I have tried unsuccessfully to play it twice now. I installed the complete season
through game pass, but every time I try to load the game it prompts me to “Insert the Game disc” or “get it at the microsoft store”. I double checked through manage add-ons, and all chapters are downloaded, and my UGP subscription is good through 2021, so
I have no idea why I am unable to play. My connection is fine, as I can play other game pass games no problem. Even reinstalling the game yielded the same results

MS should soon fix this, it shows up on gamepass but its not anymore. hope they fix this, such things can make problems.

It still shows up in Game Pass if you view the whole game library from Xbox. Maybe it’s not supposed to show up anymore? I double checked through manage downloads and it shows episode 1-3 downloaded

Just wondering, as I'm not sure, but does this Complete Season that's available through Game Pass also include Episode 1? I would make sure that it definitely includes Episode 1. Because if you are purchasing it, the Complete Season may only include Episodes
2-5. In this case, you would already need to own Episode 1 in order for the Season to work. I'm not 100% sure if this is what the case is here, but I would make sure that it states that Episode 1 is included in that deal. If not, you might have to purchase
(only) Episode 1 yourself, and then the Complete Season should work. If it does include all episodes already (Episodes 1-5), then I'm not sure and hopefully someone else will be able to shed more insight. Best of luck!

Hi Dabima,

I am sure I saw LiS: Before the Store on the leaving soon list not long ago. It is still on the GamePass phone app though and can be remote downloaded. So not sure what is going on there.

Life is strange 1 and before the storm show up in the game pass games list but if you click to see the games in the store you can only buy them. The option at the top to install and play now with game ppass are gone. So if you didn't buy the game you
can no longer play it.
