    Unable to play games offline on Xbox One


    My internet connection is very poor and I have a data cap I cannot exceed, therefore, playing online drains my monthly data limit. In the past I would just play games offline and just play local multiplayer or the campaign modes. Now, my Xbox will not let
    me play any games (and I mean anything) without having internet connection. I played Halo 5 a few months ago offline but now that doesn't work. Call of Duty Infinite Warfare? Nope. Black Ops 3? Surely not. It seems odd to me that I spend $60 on a game, then
    I have to wait 4+ hours for it to download, and then it doesn't let me play because I don't have access to affordable internet connection.

    Playing offline

    Why am I unable to play the xbox one offline? Sunset overdrive is a game that can be played offline but keeps asking me to pick my player and wont allow me to select my profile offline. Xbox support line couldnt help. Not sure why they are even there.
    Can anyone here help?

    Sorry to hear about the issue with playing games offline. Please take a look at this guide and see if it helps out with this problem.

    Using Xbox One Offline     If it doesn't help out, can you please give us an idea of which games you're unable to use offline? Are these Disc versions or Digitally downloaded versions.

    Is there an update to xbox one that makes it unable to play offline? It was working fine, then we updated. Now, when my dot'r switchs to offline, she can't switch between games that we have disks for!
    Yes it does let me play offline since the update occured and i dont know why is it like that

    Error code 0x97dd0006 on Xbox One

    If your account is set as the home, then you should still be able to play your games offline.

    Try going into the Settings > Network > Go offline, then load up a game.

    just to add, if it's not your set as your home xbox currently you will be unable to set it as such until the services are back up.

    xbox.com/status shows issues with sign in services on xbox one.

    Problem is that it won't even sign in locally so i'm unable to play offline!! :(

    Yes but assuming you continue to play offline and the game is unable to update.
