Unable to play Forza Horizon 2

I bought FH2 digitally yesterday, downloaded the game and went to play it this morning.

There seems to be a mandatory update which is constantly failing.

I've tried doing a hard reset on my Xbox. I've tried deleting and redownloading the game, same problem.

The only way I can play the game is to take the console offline, however, as soon as I put it back online the game tries to update and it fails.

Does anyone have any ideas which I might not thought of to get the game to work?

Hi. In store I see app: car pass Forza Horizon 2. Price 5$. This package is included Forza Horizon 2 ultimate idition. I can play in Forza Horizon If buy package the Car pass Forza Horizon 2? I have not bought Forza Horizon 2

 

Syncing data!

Having the 8083201d sync issue myself over the last 4 days. Some games sync others won't. Been unable play Forza horizon 2 or Forza 6.

Hope it gets sorted soon. Anyone managed to get it working?

 

what error are you getting, try deleting the download and re download it to see if that cures it.

Forza Horizon 2 needs an update, but something went wrong. For help, visit xbox.com/xboxone/update/help.

With the options to try again or to check network connection.

When I try again the update fails, when I check the connection it comes back fine.

I've tried it on both a wired and wireless connection. I've followed the link posted in the error message, but none of the steps there helped.

 

Try contacting Xbox support and see what they advise because it sounds like you've tried everything possible

 

Just another thought I know you said you checked your connection and it came back fine try resetting your router just in case
