Unable to play Forza Horizon 2, initial update failing

I bought FH2 digitally on Saturday night, downloaded the game and went to play it on Sunday morning.

There seems to be a mandatory update which is constantly failing.

The error I'm getting is:

There was a problem with the update.

Forza Horizon 2 needs an update, but something went wrong. For help, visit xbox.com/xboxone/update/help.

With the options to try again or to check network connection.

• I've tried doing a hard reset on my Xbox.
• I've tried deleting and redownloading the game.
• I've tried updating the game both on wifi and wired.
• I've performed the steps in the link on the error message.
• I've rebooted my router (BT Homehub 5)
• I've unplugged the console for 5 minutes and tried again.
• I've changed my DNS on the console from automatic to use Google's DNS.

The only way I can play the game is to take the console offline, however, as soon as I put it back online the game tries to update and it fails.

Does anyone have any ideas which I might not thought of to get the game to work?

I dislike it, since the update I have been unable to play Forza Horizon 3 (Which is downloaded digitally and happens to be my favorite game right now)
