Unable to play certain Backwards Compatibility games while offline

Hello, I'm having some trouble using any of the Gears of War games via Backwards Compatibility on the Xbox One while offline. The other games I've tested are Fallout 3 and The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, and they work fine offline. I am able to launch
any Gears of War game offline, but I'm booted off the game after roughly 10 minutes. I do have my console set as "offline" under the Network settings. Also, while the console I'm using isn't my primary account's "Home" Xbox, it is the "Home" Xbox of my other
account, which owns all of the games listed above. Let me know if you folks have any suggestions for me to try, thank you!

Xbox 360 games backwards compatible with Xbox OneS

Hi there,

you will need an internet connection in order to Install these games, the games won't be run from the disc, but backward compatible versions will be downloaded and installed. You will require the disc to play the games after they were installed though.

Also since you are offline your console could also need an update itself to make backward compatibility work.

OK for some reason I keep getting an error that says (sorry this profile can't connect to Xbox live on this console. To fix it, download it again) how do I fix it

So to clarify, is the game crashing after launching or is it failing to launch entirely? If you encounter any error codes (resembling 0x00000000 or XBOS-0000), please provide those to us. Also, are you using a digital or disc copy of the game?

Having that information will help us figure out what's going on.

Allow me to clarify. The games in question are all digital. I can launch any of the Backwards Compatible games with both of my accounts while my console is offline. However, a handful of those games that I've encountered thus far simply boot me out off after
roughly 5-10 minutes. These games include the Gears of War trilogy and Rainbow Six Vegas 2, while other BC games that I've tested function without crashing. What happens is that the screen cuts to black for a second or two, and then I'm returned to the Home
Xbox screen. No error codes of any sort have popped up at all when this happens. Perhaps I should try to re-download the games? It's certainly a bit odd that this only affects certain BC games and not others, although I understand that the games are being
run through some sort of emulator, so perhaps this has something to do with it. Or perhaps the publisher has placed some extra form of DRM on the license that I'm unaware of.

I see that others have posted here that they evidently cannot use some of their BC games while offline. While they were talking about the disc versions, I would imagine that it may affect the digital games in the same way.

Gotcha, thanks for the extra info. If you haven't done so yet, I definitely suggest attempting to

uninstall the affected content,
power cycle your Xbox One console, and then reinstalling. If the issue persists, be sure to let us know so we can try something else.
