Unable to play any 3d blurays after latest update.

I am hoping someone can help. I am still unable to get a 3d bluray to play even after trying the suggestion WetWork007 gave on a few of his responses.

I did a factory reset on my xbox one, redownloaded all the apps and games I own, reinstalled the ones I own physically. Still no option to allow 3d. So I turned the system from Auto to HDMI and I was only able to set the 3d on when I had a resolution of
720p or lower (otherwise the system kept unchecking the box on its own each time I left the settings screen.)

Even if I leave the system on 720p so that I can keep allow 3d checked I still can't play a 3d bluray. When one starts I no longer get kicked to the home screen, BUT instead the movie splash page starts, sound kicks in, then the system simply stops sending
any audio or video signal. I get a black screen that I have to either restart the machine or eject the disk to get a video signal again.

The weirdest moment is if I eject the disk there is a 50/50 chance the system will start having the picture cut in and out for the device as a whole until I do a hard reset. IS my video card going bad?

For info that may matter I have a Vizio M series tv with 240hz refresh rate, 1080p, and passive 3d. I have the xbox going through a 5.1 yamaha receiver with 3d passthrough capability which has worked for the xbox 360, ps3, and even the xbox one via my uverse
box sending its 3d signal through the hdmi in port on the xbox one.

I simply can not get the 3d blurays to play and I'm extremely frustrated. Please help.

Hey there, everyone. Are there any news about an update, enabling the XO to play 3D BluRays? At the moment, there are only PS4 and BluRay Players who can play 3D Movies, but not the XO. So I'm wondering, when this will be patched.

Hey there, Deathstroke007! That is definitely a weird situation you have. Hopefully we can get you sorted out!

My first suggestion is to try hooking your One up to your TV directly. Even though your receiver has 3D passthrough, I think the Xbox is having a hard time recognizing that there is a 3D TV hooked up to it. The only time that 3D should be grayed out is if there
is no 3D capable TV hooked up to it.

Please post back if that works for you, because I would be very interested to know. And if it doesn't, we'll look at some other options.

I skipped the receiver and yes suddenly the xbox could see that I have a 3d capable tv and it was able to actually start a 3d bluray past the title screen... The problem is that means I can either have surround sound and no 3d or 3d and no surround sound.
I am really not sure what the techs are doing to enable or disable 3d as a option. I can tell you my xbox 360 can output 3d through this current setup ( exp of a game i play this way Crysis), my PS3 (which I sold to get a xbox one) could output 3d blurays
through this setup. And the worst part is my Uverse box which feeds through the xbox one hdmi in port can output 3d movies from it's own on demand services and from the Starz tv channel with no problem as I type this.... yet the xbox one, relaying the 3d signal
of my Uverse box perfectly, cant.... (you have to admit if the only problem is the xbox one thats a bit weird)

What weird option are they using to force disallow 3d blurays to play? I don't have the option to spend 300 or 400 dollars on another receiver right now. Can the techs please simply allow us to turn 3d off or on ourselves like the old 360, the ps3, or even
my Uverse box. I have a feeling the xbox is looking for a signal my receiver simply doesn't know how to send and if the xbox would stop looking for it and simply send the signal, everything would work.

I'm really disappointed right now, especially due to having sold the device that could do this for one that can't....

Is there any tricks you can think of? Or can the techs do a system update to fix this problem next month? Any signs that you guys are working on this would be helpful.

Thank you so much for checking that, Deathstroke! I had an inkling that the problem was probably the receiver.

I am not sure if our engineers are actually aware of this issue, so here's what I want you to do. I want you to post this up at the
Feedback site. Give as much detail as you can, including your receiver information so that they can test with that. Your post makes a lot of sense to me where you have the feeling that the Xbox is simply looking for
a signal that the receiver isn't sending.

Then spread that link for the suggestion. Get the votes. This is going to be the best way to get that the most visibility. You can post up the link to it in here (and verify it if you want), and put it in your signature here on the forums (I can explain how
if you need help with that). However, we do ask that you don't spam the forums with it or put it in a thread where it isn't relevant.

I really appreciate you bringing this to our attention. Once I saw how your set up was, I knew I wanted to figure this out for you and then get you the best way to get that information passed on to our engineers. I am very excited to have you post that up on
the site, and thank you again for being so understanding.

Please people struggling to get 3d working go to this site and vote this up.

If there is anything else I can do to get the tech support guys to see this and fix it please let me know. I am really bummed I had bought the Lego Movie in 3d and its now just sitting there for no reason...
