    Unable to open or connect to network


    Hi,

    I’m in Alpha Skip Ahead (current build 210317-1900), and I’m seeing the following issues:

    • On restart I see the login pop up for my gamer tag, but then it remains on a grey screen. If I pop open the side menu via the Xbox button, then click home it opens up.
    • The console is not connecting to Xbox live, and when clicking the connect open on the Home Screen nothing happens.
    • if I try to open network settings nothing happens.
    • if I try to open sign in settings, I’m prompted to try to go online nothing happens.
    • I’ve noticed the follow error code in the last system update status: Update failed (0x8B050084)

    Other information: I’m unable to see my console on my home WiFi network, so assume that it’s not connected.

    At this point my console is essentially bricked, as I’m not able to use any online services. Any ideas or suggestions for how to resolve?

    Set a static IP via your network hardware, and not your Xbox. Google information for Netgear. I'm sure the N750 is fairly easy. Either way, you'll need your 360's MAC, which you can find using the Network Settings menu on your 360.

    Sure, then go to Settings > Gaming > Xbox Networking. If you’re having a similar problem on Windows 11, open the Xbox Console Companion app, select Settings, and then select the Network tab.

    Look for NAT Type. If the status says Teredo is unable to qualify, it means your PC is unable to obtain a Teredo IP address.
