    Unable to obtain Teredo IP address (UK - Virgin Media Superhub 1)


    Hi

    Unable to obtain Teredo IP address. I have tried the following:

    Using XBOX ONE (updated), Virgin Media Superhub (v1), Wired connection

    • Reboot Superhub / XBOX
    • Wired or WIFI
    • Toggle UPnP on router (to reset the NAT table)
    • Opened all ports (XB is set to a static IP) - 53,80,88,500,3074,3544,4500
    • Port triggering (same ports ports)
    • DMZ
    • Checked IP Sec Pass thorugh (as per the help here)
    It DID work when I set the router into MODEM mode (but then I have no WiFi for the rest of the household).

    ANY Ideas short of using my superhub in MODEM mode and getting another WIFI router?

    Cannot connect to Network (Superhub)

    Hello! I am unable to get past the 'connecting to Network' stage of the XBOX LIVE connection process.

    What Country/State/Province do you live in?

    UK - Scotland

    Modem brand & model number:

    Virgin media Superhub VMDG280

    Router brand & model number:

    Virgin media Superhub VMDG280

    Network Connection Type: Wireless/Wired

    Wired.

    Things you have tried:

    Portforwarding.

    MAC Filtering. My router tells me my consoles address is "inalved" even when I have triple checked.

    Assigning static IP's. The Xbox is still unable to connect to the Superhub.

    Entering all information manually, including DNS, Gateways and IPs.

    Entering the routers password into the Xbox 360. No luck.

    Is UPnP Enabled? Yes/no/Unknown

    Yes.

    Is NAT Type Open?

    I believe so.

    Any Error Codes you encounter:

    -

    What type of internet do you have? Cable/DSL/T1/3G?

    Cable, I believe.

    Who is your ISP(Internet Service Provider)?

    Virgin Media.

    When you run "Test Xbox LIVE connection" what is the exact message shown on screen?

    Can't obtain an IP address from your router or moden.

    XBOX ONE NAT STRICT

    nat type strict unable to use skype as it kicks me out. battlefield 4 multiplayer kicking me out and unable to enter games and hear people.

    when i do multiplayer connection test i get error message; unable to find teredo ip address. also it says to open port 3544 UDP. but it is.

    from UK-Essex-canvey island

    modem brand;virginmedia/netgear superhub.

    wired

    things i have tried. port forarding,upnp,dmz.firewall off.modem mode.assigning new ip,reserving a DHCP.

    my ISP is virgin media 60mps using the superhub.

    just like to say i have phoned xbox support many time they say phone your isp, so i phone my isp. they do everthing they can. still strict.

    I have phoned xbox support 4 times and my isp 4 times with no resolution at all.

    looks like im gonna have to sell xbox one and get a PS4.

    Right - sorted this now by turning the Firewall off in the ROUTER.

    Not brilliant but I guess as I am apple for PC I should be OK. Can toggle it when kid isn't playing online anyway (and allows me to control online play!!!)

    Open NAT?

    Had a moderate NAT with a Virgin Media Superhub after years of an open NAT on the 360. Easily fixed with the key being to make the Xbox One have a static IP address and then forward the ports listed above for that IP address. The IP address is fixed under
    network settings on the console itself. The ports are forwarded by logging into your routed. Portforward.com is very helpful.

    Press the Start button , select Settings > Gaming > Xbox Networking, and look for NAT Type under Xbox Live multiplayer.

    If it says Teredo is unable to qualify, it means your PC is unable to obtain a Teredo IP address.

    If you can’t hear your friends online, or you can’t join or host an Xbox Live multiplayer game, go to
    Network > Settings in the Xbox app and check
    NAT type    .

    If it says Teredo is unable to qualify, your PC is unable to obtain a Teredo IP address.

    Teredo is a networking protocol that’s used to establish secure communications between clients and servers, and to facilitate connectivity between devices behind routers that use network address translation
    (NAT).

    Failure to obtain a Teredo IP address can occur when there’s an issue with your Teredo adapter, when a device on your network is blocking the Teredo protocol, or if there’s software installed on your PC
    that’s disabling Teredo functionality. Without a Teredo IP address, you’ll be unable to use party chat or do multiplayer gaming on Xbox Live.
