Unable to make purchases via xbox one store

I am unable to make purchases. Been with XB Live for over 7 years. Tried 3 different payment methods (debit, credit, paypal). All give same error msg. Been using same three payment methods to make purchases all holiday season without issue.

Unable to make Xbox One Store purchase?

Recently, I decided to play through each of the Gears of War series (all backwards compatible) before starting in on GoW 4. Bought and downloaded Gow: Ultimate (1), and GoW 2 without an issue. After finishing, I went to download GoW 3, and the following
happens: I search for the game, click "See Price", $19.99, select my usual payment method, click "confirm". The screen then turns an opaque white, and returns me to the game description with "See Price" still present. No download started, no charge made, no
error code given, as if I never even attempted to buy or download the game. Thoughts?

 

i am having this issue as well, I was excited to download the telltale pack at the discount but looks like im going to miss it. Just added a late gift card to my account, all that is stopping me is 5 bucks that I need to use from my credit card.

 

With the experience of you having been able to make recent purchases and that the system is acting up after these have been made successfully, it sounds like a potential risk block to your account - a security measure preventing unauthorized purchases.

Support should be able to have this removed for you.

 

Have same exact issue before Christmas. I removed my card and now I can't remember add it which is driving me up the wall.

I got oh the phone with support two days ago and they promised to email me a reference number to fix the issue, although they couldn't tell me what was wrong. But it's "great" to hear that I'm not the only one experiencing this issue, so maybe someone from
support will notice and make a fix soon.

 

I'm having kinda the same issue redeeming my gold still. I've got 2 separate 3 months, both purchased from different areas not working. I keep getting the something went wrong try again error message, Have been since xmas day.

But when I try redeeming on my 360, even though it's a prepaid card I get the "you can't use this payment method for this purchase, try another" error

 

Bump....still no support help...

Btw, some history actions I have taken to try and get this resolved.

Have talked with customer support 4 times (yes, four). Each time I called the rep said they would pass the case on to some obscure, covert, super secret acct mainentance dept that requires at leadt 2-3 business days to respond. In each case, the responding
rep asked me to:

- Delete and replace payment method (done, did not resolve)

- cobtact payment method vendor (done, no blocks....did this with 3 different payment vendors; did not resolve)

- purchase points from Best Buy or Gamestop and see if I load points (works, but very inconvienent....and being ok with loss of XBL functionality as a long time member is unnacceptable...)

I have also since added a sign-in security pw layer to ensure there are no fraud purchases. When I inquired whether there was fraud purchases going on the reps in all four cases stated that they could not give out that info (which seems very unconstitutional
and suspect to me). They also said there is no escalation path beyond calling in and going through this 2-3 business day review process (where I have already gone through over 3-4 weeks of contact/wait/response....)

I have now wasted countless hours/days on this issue, and really wish MS would recognize my commitment to their services and product to get this resolved.

Am I out of line here? Anyone have suggestions how I can escalate to an appropriate MS rep or exec?

 

....also, forgot to mention I have also changed my password.

Here is something that is really interesting too.

I actually canceled my XBL service, and when it canceled and gave me instructions to renew, I went in and added the payment method for XBL Gold. The payment went through with no issue. I then went back into the XB store on XB1 and tried to make a purchase
with the same creit card, and was rejected.

Kind of funny/interesting/sad that XB/MS has no problem charging my credit card without issue for their XB gold service but won't resolve my XB store payment service issue to buy products/content from other developers

I am having this issue too. For months. I have also lost ea access and xbox music because the renewal wont process since purchasing wont work. Support has not been able to figure this out.

Bump.....hope anyone else that is having this issue realizes that there seems to be no support for this issue. We may do better by filing a complaint with the BBB, given the run around and lack of acknowledgement/response. Google it; it is a painless
process....i don't know how else to get MS to acknowledge, respond, and resolve.

In fact, I'll give this one more week and that's exactly what I will do. Will keep bumping this and updating along the way.

Issue now has gone on for months, and this particular cry for help has gone unsupported for working on 2 weeks now.....
