Unable to login to Xbox App on PC

After launching the Xbox app clicking on login in the profile drop down in the top right only causes the app screen to flash blank and reload or simply does nothing. After reloading I am still not logged in and there is no prompt or dialog box in which to login. If I open the settings menu, under the account section there is both an edit button and a Sign In button listed under Microsoft account. Neither button does anything when I click on it.

I currently cannot play or install any games. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the application multiple times as well as restarting my computer.

Thanks for posting a solution, it didn't work for me. Just to be clear I am able to login into my Xbox live account on my Xbox console, in the PC Xbox app, and the browser. The problem is only when I open the game and the game is unable to detect/login to my Xbox live account login.

Hi Samy,

I'm logged in correctly to the Xbox Console Companion. I can actually launch my games from there and play games as expected. However, when I launch the Xbox App from the Xbox Console Companion I am still not logged in to the Xbox App and cannot install new games or play games from the Xbox App.

Could you try to install/open Xbox Companion, log in with your account in this app and then open the Xbox app and see if your account is already logged in?

Open File Explorer.

Navigate to the following:

C:\Users\[your profile]\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.XboxIdentityProvider_cw5n1h2txyewy\AC\TokenBroker

Delete the Accounts and Cache folders.

Then try to login again, please

I deleted those two folders however the issue still persists. Do you have any other recommendations by chance?
