Unable to log into my original Microsoft account

Hey guys,

So, recently I had a sudden urge to play some Rockband and Guitar Hero on my xbox 360 that I haven't turned on in about 7-8 years. I went to try and log into my xbox live account that was on my harddrive, but it told me that there was suspicious activity
on my account and that I had to verify it and they sent a code to the e-mail that was on the microsoft account. The only problem is that, I haven't used the e-mail for about 6 years and it has been deactivated by Yahoo with no way of getting it back. I had
about 200 dollars worth of DLC on it and it'd be really sad to lose it all. I've tried to recover the account through answering the questionare since I don't have access to my e-mail, but it's asking questions that I have no way of knowing such as the last
digits of my xbox live prepaid card from 8 years ago. Do you guys think there's any way for me to recover my account? Thanks in advance!

When will Microsoft fix this? It's been going on too long now. My daughter is unable to log into her account be sugar of this closed loop bug.

This is a message that is generated when a security check has been issued on an account. The most common reason that this is issued is when an account has been flagged for lacking security proofs. Xbox Live requires that a user have two proofs on their Microsoft
account, but many users have Hotmail or Live accounts that predate this requirement and need to be updated.

Security checks can also be placed on a Microsoft account when there has been an unusual amount of suspicious activity such as too many failed logins in a specific period of time or multiple simultaneous logins from different regions of the world. These
issues may not be Xbox-specific, but are specific to the Microsoft account that is tied to the Xbox.

I am sorry you're experiencing this issue, however I have been through this myself and I found out that installing the Yahoo app on a mobile device and logging through there will allow you to still view your emails, as the web browser will give you the "Deactivated
Account" error message.

If that doesn't work then I would contact
Xbox Support as they'll be able to help you further with this issue.
