Unable to log in with my account to a game

Hi All,

I've just gotten my first game for Xbox and, after it starts, it asks me to sign in with my Xbox Live account to save the progress. I am sign into the console, but when I chose to sing into the game, my account doesn't appear on the list; it shows me an
option to "import an account" but when I chose it, it tells me it can't connect to the server even though the connection test is successful. Any idea what do I need to do to see my account? I've googled the issue but I see no similar case.

Thanks for the reply! It's a "physical" game, Red Dead Redemption GOTY. It's an XBox 360 with One backwards compatibility.

100% packet loss means nothing is getting through on the network so you have a network issue between you and the server you are trying to contact.

Thanks for the reply and update on the issue. I recommend to try the following troubleshooting

article :
I get an error message when I test my Xbox Live connection.

Press the Guide button on your controller, select Settings, and select
System Settings.
Select Network Settings.
Select Wired Network or the name of your wireless network when the network list is displayed.
Select Configure Network.
On the Additional Settings tab, select Restore to Factory Defaults. When prompted, select
Yes, Restore to Factory Defaults..
Turn off your console.
Turn on your console.

Wireless only: You will receive a message to configure wireless settings. Follow the on-screen instructions to connect to your wireless network.

Now test your Xbox Live connection:

Press the Guide button on your controller, then select
Settings, select System Settings, and select Network Settings.
Select the name of your Wireless Network, or select
Wired Network for a wired connection.
Select Test Xbox Live Connection.

Give this a try and let us know the results.

This sounds like its related to an in-game account.

What title is it that you are currently trying to play? I understand that this is your first game but have you received this on any other game [if any] that you have tried?

What console is it that you are using for this game?

If you can provide this info, we should be able to provide you with a proper resolution.

Its worth noting that you can try using a
power cycle and see if this does anything for you.

Additionally it would also be good if you can confirm your network speeds on your console to see if you are able to meet the requirementsto connect to the Xbox Live servers

You need a minimum of 3 Mbps for download speeds and 0.5 Mbps for your upload speed. You can check this by going into your

network settings on your Xbox One:

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
Select Settings.
Select All Settings.
Select Network.
Select Network settings.
Select Detailed network statistics.

On an Xbox 360, you can
check your network by following these steps:

Press the Guide button on your controller, go to Settings, and then select
System Settings.
Select Network Settings.
Select the name of your wireless network.
Select Network Statistics.
