    Fortnite is a online multiplayer game, to play anything that is online multiplayer you will need Xbox Live.

    Thank you for the reply. Just so I understand then, with our current subscription to Game Pass Ultimate, does this include the ability to play multiplayer games online for games that are NOT in Game Pass as well? It sounds like yes?

    As far as Gang Beasts go, there is no error message in it, but they are unable to play/join any parties. Is this because they need to be invited by a host to do this?

    For Fortnite, I'm not sure what is going on there. There always seems to be a 'live' error when it tries to load. Perhaps I will try and delete the game and re-install it.

    Your account does not have the correct permissions to access Xbox Live functionally

    Gold is required for online multiplayer. Fortnite is an online only game so you do need gold.

    A subscription to Xbox Live Gold is required for all online multiplayer.

    Without it you can play offline game modes but some games are online only, as Fortnite is.

    You will need to buy a subscription to Xbox Live Gold to play online on Fortnite.

    My account shows up for others that I am offline when I am online and I am unable to do multiplayer online with my friend on halo 5. It kicks me from the fireteam or just won't let me join the custom game. I have no restrictions on my account please help.
    Also it shows my internet and multiplayer connection is good.
