Unable to join Minecraft Realms

My friend recently purchased a Minecraft Realm and all my friends can join, but I cannot. My Xbox/Windows 10 Online safety and Privacy settings are all on allow but there has been no change. I still get the error saying that my settings are preventing me
to join, and I can join other multiplayer servers, just not realms. I would like to note that my account was a child account, but it has now be upgraded to an adult account. I have posted pictures to support my claims.

Unable to join Minecraft realm after console froze

Hi,

Was playing the bedrock version of Minecraft (ver 1.5) when the game and the console froze. After restarting my Xbox One I can't join the realm I was on.... the game says I am already playing in the realm on a different device.



Logging in on my son's account, and I can see it is showing me in the realm hours later, even though I am not playing.

Also the admin of the realm has removed me from the realm, and sent me a new invite (which I accepted). I got the same error when trying to rejoin after accepting the new invite.

Any ideas what I can do to fix this?

Thanks for your post, has this always occurred? Do you remember any changes recently that coincide with this? I recommend re-installing the game and attempt to join the realms server. Here's some info on how to re-install
games on Windows 10.

We understand that this has to do with the error inquiring about the way the account is set up. Regarding the
Privacy and Online Safety Settings, remember this:

Below is the full list of Xbox Live Privacy & Online Safety settings that may need to be enabled to access or use certain online features in
Minecraft.

• Add Friends must be set to Allow to add other players as an Xbox Live friend.
  
• Join Multiplayer Games must be set to
  Allow to join multiplayer worlds, Realms, and/or servers.
  
• You can create and join Clubs must be set to
  Allow to create or join Realms and Realms Clubs.
  
• Others can communicate with voice, text, or invites must be set to
  Friends or Everybody to send/receive in-game chat messages and invites. If set to
  Friends, you will only be able to send/receive chat messages from players who are your Xbox Live friends. If set to
  Everybody, you can send/receive messages from all Xbox Live players.
  

Try to adjust these accordingly and let us know if this works!

Hey CG thanks for keeping us in the loop!

Since it hasn't been addressed yet we would like to add that a Microsoft Account once set up as a child has no way of graduating or upgrading to an adult account if it hasn't reached the legal age on its own. We suggest adding the account in question to
a
family and changing the settings from the adult account to see if there is any changes and keep us posted so we can further assist in this or any other issue or inquiry!

 

Thanks for helping me out. The account is already a part of a family. The adult account has the same settings enabled as mine and can join realms.

So the settings are being changed from the adult account to the account in question correct?
