Unable to join husbands game lobby

Hi, my husband husband ahs an xbox X and I have the one slim. I have set up game sharing and gold sharing and I can play online using his gold. Our issue is that we can not join eachothers game. If a 3rd person is party leader we can both join fine we
just cant play just the 2 of us. Is there a solution to this? I dont really want to pay for 2 gold accounts

Hello

Since you have to Xbox consoles on the same network there might be some conflict with the ports

Please try the following Steps

Go to My Games and App

Apps

Settings

Network Settings

Advance Settings

Alternate Port Selection

Manual

Select a Port (There will be a list of number select a number and take note of it)

Continue

Do this on both consoles and ensure they are NOT using the same port.

Once you have done this power cycle both console by pressing and holding the power button for 10 seconds wait one minute and then turn your consoles back on.

Sometimes resetting your modem/router devices can help fix this issue.

Can you try disconnecting the power from your modem/router for 60 seconds, then reconnect again?

Please let me know if this doesn't help fix your issue.

No one here can say 100%. If you join a random lobby and notice something is off, immediately close the game. If you're unable to do so before something happens, it is possible you could receive a gamerscore reset if something happens to your gamerscore.
If you are unsure about joining random lobbies, play the game with friends.

For someone to be unable to join a player in the lobby because their net speed was poor, it would have to be UNBELIEVABLY POOR.

Yes. This is happening to me as well. Also, alot of the times I cannot join and get an error saying unable to join over and over again. Also, having trouble joining friend's xbox live party when they are in a mw3 lobby.
