Unable to join group calls in the Skype app

    Unable to join group calls in the Skype app


    I have multiple friends who are mostly PC players so they use Skype, but I cannot ever join them anymore. Is this a Skype issue, or Xbox Live? I hate having to use my blu tooth on my headset using my Skype app on my phone. It lowers the volume
    significantly. Please help

    Can't join group calls on Skype

    I haven't been able to join group calls on Skype for Xbox One for months now. It just says "Call ended" every time I try and join, which isn't true. I was hoping an update would fix my problems but it hasn't. Does anyone have a solution to this problem?
    I've searched the Xbox support forums and the Skype support forums for a solution but haven't been able to find one. I've tried clearing my chat history (which only helps with the frequent crashing), quitting the app, uninstalling the app, signing out of skype,
    and redownloading my account. I'm not sure what the problem is. I can still join calls on my other devices too, just not my Xbox. Please help.

    Skype Problem

    Every time I join a Skype call with my friends I am unable to make the home menu come back up. You're basically stuck on on the app itself and unable to do anything. I can make the menu come up when you hold down the guide button, but when you go to report
    a problem, the app won't load at all and the "Something went wrong" menu comes up. I even tried going to oneguide using the remote but it won't launch either. I thought it was my Xbox bugging out at first but I did a hard reset and rejoined the Skype call
    and it happened again. FIX THIS ASAP!!! Skype is basically useless at this point if you're just STUCK on the app and unable to do anything.

    Yes it is possible to have up to 3 participants on a video call on skype for Xbox One. Here is a link to the support page with the step-by-step to start the video call for 3 people:

    I am experiencing frequent crashes whilst using Skype on my Xbox Series X, the issue seems occur 20 minutes into a single session OR every time I join a group video call.

    This issue is definitely related to the XSX Operating System or the Skype app, I can say that because the issue occurs even after a factory reset of the XSX and occurs on both of my XSX consoles.
