    Unable to join friend’s world in Minecraft PE


    Hi, when i try to join one of my friends world in Minecraft PE, it loads for a few seconds and says ‘unable to connect to world’ the same thing happens when my friend trys to join my world. We are both on iOS devices and on the same internet. This has happened to me before and i had to wait up to a week for it to fix itself, is there any way to fix it without having to wait?

    Hi there James welcome to the community forum! Christopher here, an Xbox fan just like you and has been on Xbox for years already. I would really love to make your day by helping you out. Both of you try this!

    Open the Xbox Guide by pressing the guide button on the controller and select

    Settings.

    Select Network Settings.

    Select Advanced Settings.

    Under Change Settings select Alternate MAC Address.

    Select Clear.

    Allow the console to restart when prompted.

    This happened to us yesterday. I left the game and when I wanted to join again 5 minutes later I got the message 'Unable to connect to world.'. My friend was hosting her world on Xbox One with Minecraft v1.12.0, and I have the same version. Another friend
    was also playing in that world from his pc and he didn't have any problems. Everything seemed fine besides that I couldn't join anymore. So then another friend tried to join as test but she couldn't join them either. We did some further testing and I could
    join that last friend's world and she could join mine, and I could join the world of yet another friend, but no one was able to join the game I left.

    The friend hosting the game didn't do anything besides playing the game. I had left a few times before and could always join again.

    I wish the game would give more information beyond 'Unable to connect to world.'.
