Unable to install one of the games of GamePass

Hello!

Once again I struggle with the Windows Gamepass (Xbox App).

Today I wanted to uninstall the game Footballmanager 2022 via the Xbox App. For some reason the deinstallation process seemed to be stuck - I waited over 5 minutes.

The Xbox App did not respond when I tried to click the close-button so I used the task manager. I ended up uninstalling the game via the Apps and Features of Windows.

I restarted my PC and wanted to install the same game again (I wanted to change the folder which is why I uninstalled it). When I try to install the game it gets stuck in the "pending / preparation" before the download.

I tried to reset and empty the chance of the Microsoft store and the Xbox app. Nothing seems to work. I can install other games via Xbox but not this specific game.

I would be very helpful for help with my issuse. Thank you in advance!

First I have to say thank you very much for your time and help!

I followed all of your steps precisly. After the final step I installed the Xbox App and started the installation of the game. Unfortunatly it is still the same problem. It's now stuck for 15 minutes at "preparing" and again I can't close the Xbox App the normal way

I tried to restore the system via the Recovery earlier this day already. Nothing has changed and unfortunatly I only have a recovery point from today. I also checked this option where you can see the programms that have been affected and the Football Manager isn't affected.

It's really very confusing

Unfortunately, I think you would be best to contact the game developers to see if they have other suggestions for you, since 7 suggestions I made did not work:

Ok. Since installing on a new partition did not work, I'd recommend you try to creating another Local account on your computer.

Press Win+R Keys.
Type netplwiz and press Enter.
Click Add button.
Click Sign in without a Microsoft Account. If you do not see that option, disconnect from the Internet.
Click Local account if prompted.
Type the username you want, and the password. You must also specify a hint. Click Next.
Click Finish.

Make the new local account an admin account:
Select Start > Settings > Accounts > Family & Other Users > Select the Account Owner Name (you should see "Local account" below the name) > Change Account Type.
Select Administrator, and then select OK.
Sign in with the new Administrator Account.

After that, please try to reinstall the Gaming Services again from your new local account and see how it goes:

- Go to Start > Search for PowerShell > Right Click > Run as Administrator.

- In Windows PowerShell, type the following command and press Enter:
get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage -allusers

- In the same window, type the following command and press Enter:
start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN

- Install the app on that page and select Yes when you receive the User Account Control (UAC) prompt.

- Restart your device and try to install the game again.

Please try installing on your new local account. Reinstall Gaming Services and sign in to Microsoft Store and Xbox App with your Microsoft account, but from the local account.

Well in this case, you can try to restore your system to a point before you tried to uninstall the game and got this issue.

This option takes your PC back to an earlier point in time, called a system restore point. Restore points are generated when you install a new app or driver, and when you create a restore point manually. Restoring won’t affect your personal files, but it will remove apps, drivers, and updates installed after the restore point was made.

In the search box on the taskbar, type control panel, and then choose it from the list of results

In the Control Panel search box, type recovery.

Select Recovery > Open System Restore.

In the Restore system files and setting box, select Next.

Select the restore point that you want to use in the list of results, and then select Scan for affected programs.

You'll see a list of items that will be deleted if you remove this restore point. If you're OK with the deletions, select Close > Next > Finish.

Please see if you can restore your system and let me know how it goes.
