Unable to install Minecraft Windows 10 Edition

Discus and support Unable to install Minecraft Windows 10 Edition in XBoX on Windows to solve the problem; A while back i upgraded my Java edition of Minecraft to the Windows 10 Edition.     Unable to install Minecraft Windows 10 Edition


    A while back i upgraded my Java edition of Minecraft to the Windows 10 Edition. I can play it no problem on my PC, but i just got a laptop and noticed the game isnt in my library for the Microsoft account I use so I can't install it on my laptop.

    Tried contacting Mojang and they directed me here... Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

    Hey Nikolio16,

    Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition runs specifically on Windows 10. If you would like to play Minecraft on Xbox One, you will want to take a look at Minecraft:
    Xbox One Edition    . If you would like to install the Windows 10 version of Minecraft on your Windows 10 PC, sign into the account that originally redeemed the code and download through the Windows Store.

    • Workaround: Make sure you have the "Hero Add-On" installed on Xbox One by going toMy Games & Apps > Minecraft Dungeons > press Menu and select Manage game & add-ons. From here
      you can select it and install it from Ready to install. Yu do not need to install an additional file on Windows 10

    The code you receive from Mojang will be kept on your account, in case you’re unable to redeem it straight away, or in case you have problems trying to redeem it in Microsoft Store.

    If you receive a message stating that your code has already been redeemed:

    • Check any other accounts you use on your Windows 10 device, and see if they have the option to install Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition.
    • If that account can install the game, you’ll need to use that account to play your free copy of Minecraft.
