Unable to install Minecraft (Bedrock Edition) after uninstall

Hi,

Minecraft on my Xbox One was not connecting to my Realm due to the game being out of date (1.12 vs 1.13). After checking for an update for a few days I eventually decided to attempt an Uninstall and Reinstall.

The Uninstall worked without a problem but I am now unable to Reinstall the game.

- When I attempt from the My Games and Apps. Nothing happens, no error is reported.

- When I go to the game in the app store there is a tick saying I own the title but the install button is greyed out.

I am able to install other games fine. I own the game, I have enough space on the hard drive, I have Xbox Live, I have Xbox Game Pass, I'm connected to the internet.

I have tried power cycling and resetting the device as well as attempting to install the game from my wife's account.

Any ideas?

Glad you where able to find the issue. It is always best to check if your console needs an update regulary.

We thank you for bringing this inquiry to our forums community, and understand that this concerns an inability to install Minecraft onto your Xbox One console.

Do you own the game Minecraft digitally? Or would you happen to own Minecraft Xbox One Edition as a disc
title that was then updated to Minecraft through the Better Together Update? We recommend attempting to
remove and then add your profile back onto your Xbox One console.

Try this out for us, or clarify the questions above and we'll await your response.

Hi,

After some digging around. I worked out that, even though my device said it was up to date, hadn't been updated since April last year. I had to do an offline update and then i was able to download, install and play Minecraft.

Then you have the JAVA edition installed but you bought the Bedrock edition. I recommend uninstalling Minecraft and then install it from the Microsoft Store
