Unable to install mandatory game updates.

When I try to launch battlefield 4 or MGS I get a popup that says to install a mandatory update, when I press install it instead takes me to the games store page.

Questions for new buyer

And these install times and update times are ridiculous. Been waiting about 90 minutes now and installed the game and up to 9% on the game update. It's too long that surely. What is he size of the average game update? This one is 6.9GB, are they all going to be like this.

Plus with these mandatory game installs you can only have about 10 installed at once with the size of them. Plus over 170GB of the hard drive is not accessible. Ridiculous.

Xbox Live Update Issues

New update will not install. Network and Internet connection check out fine, then goes to mandatory update and times out.

You'll have to uninstall then install the game again. It should work. This is the only way to fix this until Microsoft engineers can get to it.

I had to do that with Forza. It now looks like Kinect Sports and DR3 are doing the same thing.

This will happen to games that require a mandatory updates. You will need to install again as mentioned. and be sure to check for updates before gaming.

And there is a 6 gig mandatory update for Forza 5 also after you've installed the game.
