    Unable to install Halo Wars from disc - Backwards Compatibilit Issue


    I can't play Halo Wars on Xbox One. When I insert the disc and select Install Game it says "This game can't be played here." Someone said it might be that the disc version isn't compatible yet? Can anyone help???

    ATN installation bug

    I'm having similar issue. An update came out for Halo Wars 2. I tried to download it. After 2 attempts, the original install from months ago (I purchased pre-order when it came out), deleted itself and I had to install the full game again, about 43 GB. For
    over 2 weeks now I have tried to download Halo Wars 2 again to no avail. Other games download perfectly, but Halo Wars 2 will not download - keep getting down load error code.

    i cant install a game

    I am trying to install Halo Wars but whenever i put in the disc it loads up blu ray. i uninstalled the blu ray app but now when i put the game disc in it redirects me to the xbox store to install blu ray again. How do i get the game to install?

    I started trying random things to make it work; near as I can tell it was because the disc was dirty. After restarting my Xbox and doing a bunch of other things that didn't work, I took the disc out and blew on it, stuck it back in and it worked.

    Xbox One Refuses To Read Red Dead Redemption

    I kept power cycling until the disc went from reading RDR as "insert a disc" to "install disc", for some reason backwards comp users have issues catching the required update download for backwards comp when using the disc version of a game, it should work
    as soon as the disc is read as install instead of insert though, just click on it when it says install, and it'll mention the update.

    that's because it's a disc copy. To install a backward compatible disc you need to do it from the disc.
