Unable to install gaming services on my new laptop with windows 11!!!!!!!

Hi, I am unable to install the Gaming Services app from the Microsoft Store for XBox. I am running a brand new out of the box gaming laptop on

Windows 11 Pro , Version 22H2 , Installed on ‎8/‎2/‎2023 , OS build 22621.2070 , Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.22659.1000.0. The PC is up to date with ALL Windows Updates and I have tried every possible solution I can find on the internet and none of them work and ends at the same place..... "Something unexpected happened with Code: 0x80070490".

Pease help me figure out how to correct this issue so I can utilize the gaming features of this laptop that it was bought for.

Hello Brandon,

Nilay here and I'm glad to answer your query today.

Many users are facing the same issue with the Microsoft store. The error is from Microsoft server end.

I'd recommend you visit the store after 24 hours. Try downloading after 24 hours or more.

Hi All, okay it is not an issue on the server end at least not for me. After X-Box Support trying alot of things the final fix was to download the Windows Media Creation tool and run it to create a new OS ISO for Win11 and run that. That fixed what ever was wrong with the files that the Gaming Service needed.
