Unable to install game from disc

Hey Dave!

If you own the disc version, you should be able to install both the game & DLC from the disc. Some games you'll need to insert the DLC disc to install both pieces of content. If you happen to own the version that has Undead Nightmare on a separate disc,
give us a heads up if you're unable to install that content.

If you manage to install a game then you can still be affected by scratches on a disc. If the scratch goes across the security/boot sector of the disc then it is possible it could still prevent you from playing as it will be unable to perform the security
check required for installed games.

Tried it and it was set as my home xbox :-(

This all started from me deleting account and then re-activating because I was unable to sign in.

Its probably something really simple. He has Forza 4 (disc) and it wont install but I was able to install Forza 4 Demo from Live? When I put discs in It prompts to launch game so it must recognise what game/disc is there so dont think its a disc reading
issue

Maybe the disc won't spin, therefore unable to boot up the game. Sorry, there is nothing you can do. You should always download games online or install them from the disc as soon as you get them in the future to avoid problems like this.

I wouldn't be able to tell you what exact files are needed to run from the disc. We had this problem when the Rezzerection map pack came out for Black Ops. People were unable to load the Moon map due to their discs being heavily scratched. We don't know
what files are read and what aren't. I just know for a fact that some files need to be read from the disc regardless of having it installed. Installing a game disc only makes it so the game runs faster, it doesn't mean that it will not use the game disc to
read some files from time to time.
