Unable to install game due to non-existent age restriction

I decided to try the Xbox game pass on PC and subscribed yesterday. Trying to download games now, but for anything rated Teen or higher, I get a warning that it is "Rated above [players] Restriction" and to have an adult sign in and download this. I'm 42 years old. My email address is @hotmail (which at this point I feel is like having a Blockbuster card still in your wallet). I have never set any age restrictions and would like them removed.

I've already tried updating the Xbox app itself, resetting the Xbox app along with updating my date of birth in my Microsoft account. None of these things have worked. I'd really like to get this resolved as soon as possible.

Hi, I hope you're doing great out there despite the issue that you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regards to your concern.

Kindly sign in to https://account.microsoft.com/family and check if there is an organizer account linked to yours. If there is not kindly proceed with resetting and repairing the Xbox App by following the steps below:

Settings > Apps & Features > Apps > Search “Xbox” > Advanced Options > Reset > Repair.

After that try to sign in again and install an Xbox Game Pass game.

Open Settings then System -> Apps -> Apps & features -> look for Microsoft Store and click it. ->The advanced options link will appear. Click it. -> On the next page, click on the Reset button to reset Microsoft Store to default settings.

After that, kindly open the Microsoft store app, sign out then sign back in using the email where you purchase the games.

Make sure to sign out and sign back it on your Xbox app as well.

This is due to a age restriction on the profile called 'Family Settings'. You have been restricted to play games of a certain age category, therefore you are unable to play online.
