Unable to install Forza Horizon 5 on PC

I have spent countless hours trying to install Forza Horizon 5 with little to no avail. It has been done through the Microsoft Store and through the Xbox App (for PC). Every single troubleshooting step found has been tried, but no luck. Windows has even been reinstalled as a last resort, but still does not let me install (I think it is absurd to even think about reinstalling an OS to get software to work).

The issue has been the same since the beginning:

Steps:

1) Buy the game.

2) Click on install.

3) Started "downloading", it only showed a progress bar with no download speed or percentage. After five minutes, the progress bar would remain the same and download would stop. Got prompted with ERROR 0x00000001.

4) Click on the "X" to cancel the installation or download.

5) Click on "Install" in the Microsoft Store Forza Horizon 5 Deluxe (the version bought) and absolutely nothing happens.

6) Click on "Install" in the Microsoft Store Forza Horizon 5 Standard Edition.

7) Prompted to select where to install the game.

8) Select an HDD with more than enough space.

9) Click on "Install Now". Nothing happens.

This process will then repeat from step 5 through step 9 with the same result every single time.

Xbox App (for PC):

1) Click on install on the Deluxe or Standard Edition of Forza Horizon 5

2) Select where to install the game

3) Click on "Install".

4) Immediately get "ERROR 0% View Progress"

5) Click on "ERROR 0% View Progress".

6) Takes me to the "Install Queue".

7) Click on "See error details" and get prompted with the "Something unexpected happened........... Error code 0x00000001".

This process will repeat every single time.

Due note that every single troubleshooting step has been done and I still get the same outcome.

NOTE: Forza Horizon 4 installs with no issues.

Can somebody suggest any else or can I get some help?

Thanks for trying Lester, but none of that helped. Still unable to connect to multiplayer in Forza Horizon 3 or Forza Horizon 4 on PC.

Usually, this is an issue that is related to the Gaming Services application, the issue can be resolved by fixing it, however, some users have reported that this is no longer working. Anyway, I suggest you try the solutions below, please.

First make sure you are using the latest version of windows, to do this follow the instructions below.

Select the Start button and then go to Settings > Update and Security > Windows Update.

- If there are no updates to be made, please proceed with the solutions below.

Solution 1:

Open RegEdit as an administrator and delete the following Services:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\GamingServices]

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\GamingServicesNet]

PC reboot

Install gaming service like you would normally

Solution 2:

Go to Windows settings

Applications

Applications and Features

Look for Gaming Services

Click on it

Advanced options

Tap repair

- If it doesn't work, try the alternative below.

Download the Create Windows 10 installation media application from the link below, at the end of the download run the application, and then follow the instructions given by the program at the end click on upgrade. Rest assured none of your files will be lost, this is a system restore that will try to fix this error.
