Unable to install Forza Horizon 4 on correct drive

Hi, recently I have been wanting to reinstall Forza Horizon 4 on my PC but it can only install on my C drive and not my D drive. However I do not wish to install this on my C drive due to lack of space.

After a lot of digging I found that this is likely due to old files left over from a previous installation of the game on my D drive.

I am assuming this is from a 'Reset this PC > keep my files' that I did from the windows settings a couple months back.

I believe that the issue here is the Microsoft Store is unable to install on this drive as it believes it is already partially there from these leftover files. So I tried to delete them entirely. I managed to locate and delete most of the files on this dirve related to Forza Horizon 4 but have become stumped at a few remaining files that all are unable to be removed. I have changed the file ownership and permissions so that is not the issue either.

Is there any way to completely remove ALL files to do with this game (while it is not actually installed), including DLC as I have the Ultimate edition, for a completely clean and fresh installation of the game with my saved cloud data?

This was my first port of call yet came up with no solution

It may be a registry issue, however that is much akin to brain surgery if you don't know what you are doing. Try using CRTL+F in the C: drive for those files or find the default folder and delete it to the trash bin. When installing use custom or advance options on install and choose the exact drive you want and it will create a new folder for you.

thanks for the response, I have the file location and know which ones I need to remove, its a permissions issue that is stopping me from being able to delete them.

Ok I managed to get and install Forza Horizon 4 demo (don't have enough space for the full version) on my C:\ (Windows OS) drive. So don't know what's going on with installing Forza Horizon 4 on another drive.
