Unable to install a Xbox play anywhere game

I have the Master Chief collection on my Xbox the digital edition, and it has Xbox play anywhere. I am unable to install it on my laptop as it is showing me that I have to buy it again to download it on my PC. How can I fix this or is there another way to download the Master Chief Collection.

Thank you so much for taking the time tot post this on the Xbox Forums.

I would like to confirm with you that you operating system is currently up-to-date.

In the
Xbox Play Anywhere FAQ it states that "you will need to have installed the Windows 10 Anniversary Edition update on your PC" in order to order for you to install your title.

This will cover how you are able to update, if the update is available to you.

Go ahead and give this a try and let us know if this works for you.

Is this a digital game? Play anywhere is only for digital games.

Halo: MCC is not a Play Anywhere title. You would have to purchase it for the PC in order to play it on the PC.
