    Unable to get XBL to swap to new card


    So it seems XBL keeps trying to charge my old credit card, and I can't cancel or get XBL to use the new card. Can't delete the old one, because they keep trying to resubmit payment every couple weeks for the auto-renewal (which I disabled, hoping that would
    help...it didn't). My old card was terminated by the bank, due to stores having the credit card numbers hacked earlier this year. I have updated my card on XBL to the new one, but yet XBL keeps trying my old one. There seems to be no way to email support on
    this.

    Is the only way to move to the new card, calling Microsoft? If so, XBL will probably just remain off. If billing is that painful to deal with, I guess XBL will eventually figure out that card is dead and give up on their own.

  3. Unable to swap Microsoft Account

    I appear to be having issues swapping my Gamertag to a different Microsoft account - I moved a gamertag off of the account I want to switch to which went through fine, but when moving the Gamertag to the now blank account, it says I can't do it.

    Anyone have any ideas?

    Do I need to wait 30 days?

    In case it's a factor, the account I want to move to is used on my Windows phone, I have purchased apps, but do not have a billing account as it's billed through my mobile network.

    Please log in to commerce.microsoft.com and set the new card as your Primary. From there you should be able to remove the old one.

    However, your issues with replacing the card may be due to the system trying to submit a payment request to the old card. If the system sees a billing error it may have frozen your account from adding or buying items.

    If this is the case you will need to contact phone support for more assistance with this as they will be able to set everything back up for you. 1-800-469-9269 in North America.

  5. i didnt know changing a Card out of a running subscription is not possible, either you would have to let it run out or give xbox Support a call so they can Change it for you.

    Thanks, yeah it looks stuck on old card. It keeps re-trying it. I set the new card to be primary, but the system doesn't appear to know how to swap out once there is a pending charge. Just wanted to verify that was the issue, maybe eventually the system
    will figure it out, lol.

    If you can't swap the cards out then definitely contact phone support to get this sorted.

    Sounds like a faulty internal wifi card to me.

    If your xbox is new or still under warranty then try taking it back to shop and getting it swapped for a new one.
