Unable to get update for game, keeps saying 0x8b050033

I've had ghost recon wildlands for almost three days now, and for some reason it just won't update. It has an update for twenty gigs needed to download, which I have. I've been trying to download it for the past three days, I've restarted my Xbox, uninstalled it many times and reinstalled it and nothing has worked. I don't think it's an issue with the Xbox itself because I just downloaded the division 2, update and all, with no issues. The only different I had from when I downloaded the division, to when I downloaded ghost recon, is that it brought me to the clear up space screen for recon. Did that somehow screw it up?

No, I don't believe that ruined anything. I'll recommend you do a power cycle to clear the system cache

- Turn off your console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds, until it shuts down completely.

- Unplug the console's power cable. Wait 2 minutes.

- Plug the console power cable back in. Press the Xbox button on your console to turn it on and check if it's all good.

If that doesn't help, I'll suggest you try doing a factory reset keeping games and apps on your console. This will refresh the console and remove all potential bugs without deleting any game data.

- Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

- Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.

- Select Reset console.

- Choose Keep Games and Apps

Once that is done, you'll need to sign into the console using your Microsoft account credentials. If the issue is with your console, that should fix it.

If that doesn't help, then the issue is with the game and you can reach out to the game support for assistance.

Hey Mateus i was able to install game finally but now when i boot up game it says "You need this update, but we cant get it right now. Try again in a while (0x8b050033)"

do you know anyway to help with this?

Same problem here. I am on Xbox One. Please EA/Microsoft/Xbox, help! I was also on Act 3. The error message says “Update needed; You need this update, but we can’t get it right now. Try again in a while. (0x8b050033)”
