    Unable to get the new minecraft version on the Xbox one. I have it on a disc.


    I currently have minecraft on the Xbox one and it’s on a disc. I’m unable to get the new minecraft update or game (whatever it is) and I have fulfilled the requirement of 5 hours. Like many I’ve succeeded it. There isn’t long until the offer ends and I still
    have to pay for it. Any help will be appreciated

    Brand new Xbox 360 for Xmas and have bought Minecraft version from Amazon on disc. Able to play Minecraft on Xmas day but not since as every time try to play get message above. As it is disc version why message to download? Other games (FIFA2014) playing
    fine.

    Is this a problem with disc - unhappy children

    Stuck as trial mode, no purchase option.

    The Xbox One version doesn't seem to be available through Xbox.com. I don't get a result for it searching either "Minecraft" or "Minecraft: Xbox One Edition". I only get results for the new poorly ported Minecraft.

    Are they trying to replace the Xbox One version? This is ridiculous.

    Hello, i have checked the version it is Mine Craft: Xbox One Edition v1.58.1920.0
    Did you buy the physical disc version of Minecraft: Xbox One Edition? Or did you buy the digital download version?

    If you have bought the digital download version, simply download the "Minecraft" without the "Xbox One Edition" from the Xbox Marketplace for free.

    If you have bought the physical disc version of the game, your only option is to buy the Minecraft version without the "Xbox One Edition" in the title to be able to get the Aquatic update as well as the Cats and Pandas update.

    They removed it and replaced it with a brand-new update which was just titled Minecraft. So it was the same version across all platforms. You should still be able to get Minecraft Xbox One Edition on disc.

    This offer is only valid, if you have the digital DOWNLOAD version of Minecraft Xbox One Edition. And it only works if you get Minecraft with the SAME account, that owns the digital download version of the Xbox One Edition.

    If you have the disc version of Minecraft Xbox One Edition, the offer to get Minecraft for free required you to have played the game for 5 hours in the last 12 months before January 30th 2018. However, the period to get the game for free ended on February
    1st 2018. So if you have the disc version of the game, and didn't make the transition to the "Better Togehter Update" before February 1st, you're out of luck and need to buy Minecraft again.

    Hi, quick question. So how exactly do I know if I have the Windows version vs the Bedrock version on my pc? Because I installed the new minecraft launcher, and according to it, I have the windows edition of minecraft, even though I have minecraft on my xbox. Would I just be unable to get a free java edition?

    Sorry to hear that you're unable to launch Minecraft.

    Now you may have purchased the Xbox One edition of the game back in the day, however that new version you were talking about, called the

    Better Together Update    , was only free for a limited time.

    It's not so much as an update as it was a straight up new version of the game and would replace the "Minecraft: Xbox One Edition" with simply "Minecraft".

    That being said, if you missed the promotional offer, you would have to purchase the new version of Minecraft online now.
