    I have checked many times and my Microsoft account is 18+ but for some reason I am still told that I need to join a family when I sign in.

    since xbox changed the terms and conditions, i have been unable to access my xbox live account, this is because i need parental consent to allow this to happen, my brother set up the parental account when i first got my xbox around 2-3 years ago, since then
    his email has been hacked and the password changed, we have tried to get it back but are unable to prove ownership of the account, is there anyway of changing the email associated with the account?

    parental consent

    hi

    my son had previously been playing xbox live with wired connection to xbox live. we now have wireless adaptor so he can play in his own room. unfortunately, after plugging in adaptor he is unable to connect and play his friends. it is stating he needs
    to log in to his Microsoft account. we have tried this and parental consent is required. when we try and give consent an error code keeps appearing. please help

    If you're an adult, but you got a message asking for parental consent, it's because you're a child in your Microsoft family.

    Solution

    If you're of an age that requires parental consent, follow the steps on your Xbox to have your parent sign in and add you to their Microsoft family.

    If you're over the age requiring parental consent, have your parent remove you from the family. They'll have to sign in to
    account.microsoft.com/family, select your profile, and select
