  2. Paired xbox one wireless controller to Xbox console, want to pair that to my windows 10

    Hi Microsoft,

So I have an Xbox One S with two wireless Xbox One Controllers already paired to it. But I recently got a Windows 10 PC and I want to pair one of the controllers to my PC. But I don't how to do that. When I turn my controller on, with a usb connected from
the controller to the pc, my Xbox console turns on. How do I pair my wireless controller, that is already paired with my console, to the PC? Do I have to disconnect the controller from the console (and if so, why)? Please answer this for me and thank you Microsoft.
    Have a good day guys.

Controllers will not pair with console

Have been using an Xbox on 500GB from day one and just brought another unit for my main lounge room for more space. I set it up as identical as I could to my 500GB version. I use the HD TV Tuner USB card for the Xbox, this is used for watching my live TV.
I usually turn the console on with the Xbox remote as the kinnect will also turn TV on at the same time, and the unit jumps to the one guide and starts working as it should. The problem arises when I come to turn a controller on. They will not connect, I try
and repair and nothing. It does this for all 4 controllers so it is isolated to more the console and not controller.

The only way to correct issue is to turn console off, and turn on with the controller. Pressing button on Xbox to turn on wields the same results as the remote control turn on.

There was an instant where when I first set up console, it was doing an update and kept saying something went wrong. After 2 restarts, it booted to the next stage of setup so I am not sure if this is related to anything, so I reset console to factory defaults
and started again after getting these issues with remotes and has not resolved it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Make sure you plug it into the USB first, and see if it works that way.

    Xbox Controller

My Xbox Wireless Controller won't connect to my Bluetooth at all but it connects by USB to my computer, it also flashes when I click the pairing button and my Bluetooth is turned on, whenever I go to the pair devices and try to pair the Xbox controller
it doesn't show up. Is there a way I can reset the controller without the console?
Its suppose to flash when pairing also what are you trying to pair it to

Switching Series X Controller between Xbox and PC

Looking at the guide it says thus:

"The Xbox Wireless Controller that comes with Xbox Series X|S includes a feature that allows for quickly switching between a paired Bluetooth device and an Xbox console or a PC using Xbox Wireless. If the controller is connected to a Bluetooth device, double-press the Pair button and the controller will immediately switch its connection to the last Xbox Wireless connection it was paired to. Then, to switch back to the paired Bluetooth device, press and hold the Pair button to start pairing mode".

This only works between a the controller paired to a PC with Bluetooth or another PC or Xbox paired via the proprietary 'Xbox Wireless' protocol. So, if you're using an Xbox Adaptor on your laptop and also own an Xbox you can only pair it to one of them. If you want to quickly swap between console and PC you'll have to use Bluetooth on the PC.

It's the same issue you'd get if you owned two consoles, you can only pair a controller to one console.

    XBox One Controller on PC

    Hi guys,

I was able to sync my xbox one controller to my Windows 10 PC via Bluetooth, however when I go to turn it on now to play a game on PC, it powers on my XBox. Any way around this or do I need to have a separate controller for each platform?
You would either need a seperate controller for the PC not synced to the xbox, or just live with the pairing. If you pair your controller with the USB wireless dongle it would force the pair to the dongle instead of the console. But then you would be require
to re-pair the controller to the console when you wanted to use it there as well.

Problem syncing arctix9x headset to my xbox one

The pairing button on your Xbox console isn't working?

You may want to try a full power down to see if you can get that pairing button to activate. That is the means to pair this type of headset so not many work arounds for that.

The Arctis 9X pairs with your Xbox One just like a controller -- hit the wireless pairing button on the console and headset at the same time, and wait for them to connect. In my testing, that took around five seconds. SteelSeries says it worked with
Microsoft while developing the Arctis 9X to make sure it took full advantage of their proprietary wireless connectivity. (The Xbox One doesn't support Bluetooth headphones, which is one reason why it hasn't seen many wireless headsets.)
