Unable to get IR to change channels or work in general

I have an Xbox One and I purchased dual IR extension from Amazon which I plugged into the back of the Xbox One.

I have a Cisco Explorer 4640 HDC2 Cable Box (charter communications HD)

I have a Samsung LN46B750U1FXZA

I am unable to change channels and neither will turn on when I start my xbox one.

I can see a TV picture, snap works great and I love it, however, I hate that I need to use my Cable TV remote to change channels because the OneGuide is WAY better than the charter TV channel menu.

Any suggestions?

One Guide won't change channels AT&T Uverse

You can't change channels without the kinect or an IR cable. The kinect is what sends the IR signal to the box.

As this is a fairly old thread I was wondering if you were able to resolve your issue as my issue is quite similiar; using an IR cable emitter attached to my Xbox1 and have charter. My cable box is a motorola dcx3501-m. I can see the guide through Xbox1,
can bring up the info per channel, can scroll...can do everything but change the channel.

Let me know if you were able to resolve this or not as I'm in my 5th day of trouble shooting. Thanks!

It should work just fine, the only part that probably wont will be Kinect being able to change channels or turn Sky Q on/off because I doubt there will be the IR codes for it yet (though generic Sky one might)

I just received my new IR Transmitter cable and got my box working! I used the guide me setup the second code worked. Powering the device on and off works as well as changing channels. The code listed in the menu is N4076. I guess my issue was the IR transmitter.
Thank everyone for your help figuring it out.

Only suggestion for TV Team is to add an "Enter" command after the channel is input. This would result in near instant channel change with Fast IR setting.

This is the IR cable I ordered much sturdier than the previous.

Hey guys,

If channel change isn't working, then you likely have 1 of 2 issues with your DirecTV box:

1) It's set to use RF not IR. Check in your settings.

2) The Kinect's IR blaster doesn't have line of sight to your STB. It bounces IR light off of you and your furniture, then back to your devices. Try holding the Kinect about 4-5 feet away from your STB and see if channel change works then.
