Unable to get dlc applied to killer instinct base game

I bought killer instinct definitive edition after having had killer instinct base game installed on my pc. After restarting the game the dlc does not appear to have been applied to the game. I was able to download the killer instinct definitive app but am
unable to access the retail characters in the game. Ive uninstalled and reinstalled the game a few times but with no luck. If anyone has a solution to this please let me know i would gladdly appreciate it.

Unable to get killer instinct definitive edition for windows 10 applied to the base game. it's been more than 24hrs and in that time I have uninstalled both platforms and reinstalled it and no luck.. in the XBOX App shows that I own it and that it is installed..
need help.

Is it possible that you may not have applied a game update for Killer Instinct? I remember installing an update when they released content/ patch.

 

I have this exact same problem! I've tried everything I can think of, resetting the store, uninstalling and redownloading, nothing seems to work. Let me know if you find any sort of solution!

I am not getting an error message i am signed into my microsoft account i dont play any other games from the windows store iv tried windows appdiagnotic10 and it shows my windows store app cache may be damaged. Ive uninstalled and reinstalled the game today
and now my controller isnt working properly. do you have any suggestions?

 

Thanks for the prompt response. You may reset the Windows Store Cache. Kindly perform the following steps:

1. Press the Windows + R keys to open the Run dialog box.
2. Type WSReset.exe and click Ok.
3. The Store and a command prompt will now open with any message. The command prompt will automatically close after the Store's cache has been reset.

After its completion, restart your computer to sync all changes made. Then, uninstall and reinstall your game and check if the same instance occurs.

well after a week of having this issue and unable to resolve it i have had my money refunded unable to try latest solution to see if it works if anyone tries the resetting windows store cache solution and gets it to work let me know what happens maybe i
will repurchase the content.

 

I also tried appdiagnostic10 again after doing the wsreset option suggested and i am still getting an error message that the windows store cache may be damaged. Do you have any other suggestions.
