unable to get Crysis for 360 on xbox live

In previous months I was able to get the 360 games on games with gold on xbox live. I don't own xbox 360....only xbox one. I was able to go to xbox live on my pc and get the 360 games.

But not this month. Tried for several days. Got error message.

Contacted xbox chat who said that since Crysis was on backward compatibility list I could not get it. Only games NOT on backward compatibility list were available. I said that Phil Spencer suggested that xbox one owners should get 360 games with gold
to have them for when they became available on backwards compatibility.

And the xbox support rep in chat was saying the opposite to Phil Spencer. If game was on backwards compatibility it would NOT be available for xbox one owners to get via games with gold.

This is the error message "Is this your first purchase? To ensure it is compatible, please sign in to Xbox Live using your console and try again."

Anyone else unable to sign into xbox live when playing the 360 games?

When pressing both the Menu and View buttons to bring up the mini guide it just says connect to xbox live.

unable to purchase Cyber Monday deal due to #Xboxlivedown

Due to the systemic problems that Xbox Live had on December 1, I was unable to properly connect to Xbox Live and thus could not purchase the deal I wanted (Crysis, $2.99). The issues on December 1 are well documented and I tried numerous troubleshooting
steps as well as contacting Xbox Support on Twitter, but did not receive help. Now the price of Crysis has gone up to $19.99 again. Will Microsoft honor the Cyber Monday deal that I was unable to complete due to the Xbox Live service not functioning properly?

Ya its one of the few games that you actually need a 360 console for or until the actual update is released

Certain games gears of war crysis and halo and gta and darksiders all check fot account region. Actual region and cknsole region hence why you need an 360 console to check compatibility

Your best option download one of those games once using a 360 console either thru a friend or a rented console

I have never played any of the Crysis games before, I was thinking about getting a legit PC with a copy of the original Crysis but now I'm not sure if I should get it both two Crysis games on PC or Xbox 360.
