check that the audio levels are correct, so that the microphone is heard, although you should consider that it is the control that is damaged since when testing it with several devices everything indicates that that is the problem

Thank you for posting on the Xbox forums. I'd be happy to help.

If all of those headsets/headphones are not working, then the issue may be related to the 3.5mm audio port on the controller. To rule out the console, you need to

power cycle the Xbox. Hold down the power button on the console until it shuts down and then remove the power cord from the console and the power outlet. Leave the console unplugged for 5 minutes and then try again.

If the headsets are not being detected, then try out a
soft factory reset, where you reset and keep games and apps installed. Accounts on the console will be removed and you will need to re-connect to your network during the setup. Make sure you have your account's login information so you can sign
back in during the set-up.

If nothing works then you will need to try another controller to see if the port is the issue.

yes the problem lay with the Sky hub nothing to do with the Xbox.

I removed all port forwarding rules set up previously that did work initially.

These ports still show as closed via a port checker tool but the Xbox works with no manual setup.strange!

I’ve got the same problem. Tried everything, and support was as useful as a chocolate teapot. I’ve watched all the vids on YouTube done all the hard resets and unplugging. Support just suggests a factory reset. Which I can’t be **** to do.

Any luck with a solution??
