Unable to find microphone for these users!

So like everyone one here on this forum, i’ve run into this problem on my console. I’ve done every step. From hard reseting, to a system reboot, to etc and they all don’t work. I also bought a new controller and new headset. And that didn’t work. Does anyone
know how to fix this?

Also the headset i’m running is turtle beach recon 70.

I always make sure my controller is turned off before connecting my headset.

if I plug the headset into the controller while it is on, it doesn't recognise the headset as being there at all.

it's always a good idea to turn off devices before plugging anything in or unplugging anything

For me, I unplug both the mic and turn off controller then plug them back in.

Then I realise my mic is muted from the headset. I have a Turtle Beach Recon 50x so there is a switch on the wire to mute the mic.

You can also check the audio settings to see if mic monitoring is all the way up.

I've had similar issues... although not as persistent as yours.

The only thing that worked was a complete reset for me... My network settings kept saying that they didn't support my headset... Then I reset it and it worked as normal... Ghosts in the machines... lol

When you did the reset did you delete everything? Games, saved data, the whole shibang?

Did you click update even if it reports being up to date?

Are you using a headset adapter?

I have. And no I’m not. The controllers I have do have the 3.5 mm port.
