Unable to download Xbox360 profile to Xbox One

If i'll fill in the survey with the details. Will I get any reply that might help me with my issue?

 

I had to restart the console as opposed to turning it of then turning back on. My remaining issue is that I am randomly being kicked off of XBox Live on the 360 emulator.

 

I'm having a problem like that but it's for Halo Reach l. It won't let me play multi-player saying I'm not connected to Xbox Live

 

filled out your stupid survey... issues been know since at least August. how about it gets fixed instead of asking us to fill out a worthless survey that doesn't apply to the problem. what a waste of time...

If you guys have a 360 in your house as well, what you are likely running into is a NAT issue. That is what we had seen with Preview users who were testing this out before release in November. If you have a 360 in your house, please unplug it or disconnect
it from your internet, power cycle your router by leaving it unplugged for 5 minutes, then turn on your Xbox One *only*. See if that helps you download your profile on your Xbox One then.

i have no 360 on my network, gave my xbox 360 to my dad last Christmas. he lives far away but I left my GT on there.

through searching for solutions on Reddit someone pointed out that they had to make their 360 NOT REQUIRE a password on each sign in. Couldn't remember how I left it for my dad, he barely uses it, only plays Tiger Woods and uses his own silver live account.

According to Xbox 360 Profile Protection, it showed my old 360 as NOT REQUIRING a password. So the problem remained.

I am a Preview member and I'm a 12, going on 13 year paid Xbox Live member. I have everything ported correctly, my network is really great.

I have posted this recently in the Preview forums. I did not try Backwards Compatibility until November 12, even though it was available to me since E3. This issue has dated back to August and is effecting more and more people, because of new additions
to the BC library.

I really think that it's something to do with my specific profile. i feel like you guys dont like me.

surely someone who has had this problem has figured out how to fix it, or did they all just give up? backwards compatibility probably isn't eveb worth the effort i am putting into begging for a fix or at least some acknowledgement that the problem will
be addressed.

 

Hyperion helped me out. I have a IPv6 connection which is not compatible with 360. Inputted my ISP's DNS numbers into my Xbox and it worked. #2 was my problem and likely is the solution for others

This is usually a network problem that's causing the failure to download the profile. Remember that the 360s back then only used IPv4 connections. Xbox One consoles can sometimes pick up and use IPv6 connections, leaving the 360 side of your console (the
360 dashboard) unable to connect. There's no concrete solution to this issue yet but you can try these:

1. Power cycle your console, router, and modem (make sure that all cables are disconnected for at least a minute or so)

2. Change the console DNS to your ISP's provided DNS or the usual 8.8.8.8 / 8.8.4.4 DNS to connect to a public DNS setting. Alternatively, if you do not want to mess with your console settings, do this on your router settings instead.

3. Clear your MAC Address (go to Settings > All Settings > Network > Advanced Settings > MAC Address > Clear Alternate MAC (this should re-establish a connection with your current network, however, do this only if your console is unable to connect the net)

 

We are having this issue also.. the exact same thing as the OP... wont download 360 profile and says unable to connect to xbox live..

have been trying everything for weeks.,... this is an upgrade to an xb1s from a previous basic xb1... on the old xb1 it used to work fine...

Just a heads up. I was having this issue forever and i tried all the stuff Microsoft and users suggested. However it was actually my ISP's fault. I noticed when i ran the multiplayer connection check i was dropping 100% of my packets. So i opened the ports
xbox one needed to run thinking that would work, but it didn't. What it turned out being is that my ISP didnt confirm my router for plug and play, meaning none of my devices could connect to multiplayer. So to the other people who have tried everything and
nothing is working, contact your ISP and have them check your router configuration. That might just be the problem

Yes you need an actual gold subscription to play backwards compatible games, Trials are limited with certain features. Having a credit card on file may help but I don't think it will change much in this situation.
