Unable to download Xbox360 profile to Xbox One

Hello,

I just bought a xbox one a week ago and I have signed in with my live account. I bought GoW3 (physical) and whenever I am trying to play it it specifies that I am not signed in. I pushed "select" & "start" at the same time to download the xbox360 profile
so that I can log in, but whenever it tries to download it it comes up with an error.

I have tested the connection on the network and it specifies that the DNS cant find the server. I have added a secondary DNS (Google's) 8.8.8.8 and it works. When I test the connection it specifies that everything if good and that the console is connected.
But when I go back to download the profile it comes up with the same error specifying that I can't connect to Xbox Live.

I would like to mention that I did not own a xbox360 and I don't have a profile already created. Is there anything specific that I have to do in order to be able to save my GoW3 game?.

Destiny "Content Unavalable' Error 800700E8

I installed 'The Dark Below' and 'House of Wolves" on xbox one. But I am unable to download the expansions to xbox360.

Under Game Purchase History, on the 360, both are listed as 'content not available'. I am unable to download them.

I cleared the cache several times. I disconnected and reconnected the 360. I deleted my profile and recreated my profile. I transferred licenses to my 360.

Nothing works. Anyone run across this?

 

unable to download xbox live accounts right now

I am trying to download my xbox360 profile (that has Gold account) to my friends xbox 360. It keeps giving me error message of "unable to download xbox live accounts right now" I have been on the phone with tech support and their only solution was to turn
off/on and unplug the xbox. Which didnt work. They also said there is not problem on there end. I am still unable to download the profile. The microsoft email and password are correct and have been checked multiple times. What good is Gold account if you
can only play it on one console? Please help!

I have read it but it's not applicable in my case. Quote from the guide:

"Note The first time you start an Xbox 360 game on your Xbox One, you’ll have to sign in and download your Xbox 360 profile".

That's my problem, the profile is not being downloaded, it specifies that it can't connect to Xbox Live, even though my Xbox One is connected since I have downloaded and installed games, added my 14 days trial of Live Gold etc.

Do I need Xbox Live Gold Membership in order to sign in to the Xbox360 profile (which I don't have) ?

 

I'm having the same issue, I had a 360 but my profile will not download. I can not play any backwards compatible games, either digital from prior purchase or physical.

 

I'm experiencing the same issue. Power cycling the console did not resolve the issue.

 

Sorry to hear you're still having trouble.

Definitely be sure to fill out the survey at the end of that troubleshooter. Do you get an error code when you try to download your profile while on the Xbox 360 side of things?

 

Same problem here promted to download 360 profile which is kind of stupid that u have to download it when u could use xbox one account like sony is doing well kudos them that theyre thinking what theyre doing but ok when downloading profile comes with and
error could download profile cuz internet conection doesnt work when it works xbox is yust confused cuz its ben alienated when all the different os u have in there suggestion remove requirement to download 360 profile and merge it in xbox one profile cant
do it well good day and keep on loosing more people to sony

 

No, I don't get any specific error messages, it just specifies that it can't connect to Xbox live and that I should try to find info on xbox.com/support. And the only option that i have except that is : Test connection.

And guess what, the connection works.

So if you could provide any information regarding this issue that would be helpful.

If we were to think logic...if I never had an Xbox 360 profile...what should it download if there isn't anything for me to download, I don't have saved games or anything.

 

I had the same issue, resetting my password and doing security changes worked for me.

 

resetting my password and changing security settings did not work for me, unless you did something magical...

This issue has not been address or fix, there is no fix... unless you have some specific way that I don't know about. This problem has existed for months and no fix.

 

What security setting have you changed? I did not set any on my Xbox One.

 

I have a similar problem however my issue is once on Halo Reach home screen it right away says I am disconnected from xbox live than signs into my old gamertag. Unable to play any multiplayer, only options I have is campaign and menu. I have contacted support
about this issue 3 times yesterday via support chat and they of course were no help. Wanted me to port forward some lines on my modem which I knew was a waste of time as I have no issue with any other games, power cycle my xbox and some other useless things
which all failed to help.
